In April 2005, the Government introduced a Childcare Voucher Scheme to help support working parents. The scheme means that companies can offer employees childcare vouchers as part of their salary, free from tax and national insurance. Gemelli was set up to provide employers, parents and childcare providers with an efficient, professional and prompt childcare voucher service. Gemelli is able to set up schemes for companies of any size, from one employee to thousands.

How has IRUN supported the growth of Gemelli Childcare Vouchers 

Heather Start of Gemelli launched the company in 2006 and wanted a website to use as a point of reference for the people Gemelli was starting to approach and deal with, as well as place for collecting prospects details via its contact form. As a new business, things were constantly changing, so Gemelli needed to have a website package which could be managed and updated by themselves and was good value for money.

Solution

Heather was introduced to IRUN via a third party who set up Gemelli’s first website using IRUN’s WebBuildPRO package. All WebBuildPRO packages are internet-based and include a full set of management tools which allows the client to update the site anytime, anywhere, with no special skills required.

In 2008, Heather was introduced to Robert Umpleby of IRUN Bedford who organised for Gemelli’s site to be upgraded to a new version of the WebBuildPRO package. Robert also arranged for Search Engine Optimisation work to be carried out on the site, which included adding keyword-rich copy, to help with its search engine rankings.

Result

Since its launch, Gemelli has generated 25% of its business via its website alone, and with the recent changes made to the site they expect this figure to increase in the future.
